Summer Clay Workshops

This summer, Jaimie Charles is excited to offer the following backyard clay workshops in Stamford CT, providing a welcoming and inspiring environment for people of all skill levels. These workshops are designed to help students unleash their creativity and learn the fundamental techniques of working with clay including wheel throwing and hand building.

Clay & Play

Ages 4-9 | $55 per student* (minimum 2, maximum 5 students per class)

• Wednesday, July 12 | 10-11 a.m.

• Friday, July 14 | 2-3 p.m.

• Tuesday, July 18 | 10-11 a.m.

Clay and Play is an exciting and interactive workshop designed to spark creativity and imagination for beginning clay students ages four to nine. In this fun-filled session, art educator and ceramicist Jaimie Charles, M.A. Ed., will guide students as they explore the versatile world of clay utilizing the pottery wheel and a variety of techniques to create their own unique masterpieces. Clay and Play promises to be a memorable experience where students can unleash their artistic talents.

Pottery and Beyond

Ages 10-15 | $65 per student* (minimum 2, maximum 5 students per class)

Pottery and Beyond is designed for artists interested in the world of clay, ceramics, and sculpture. Through expert guidance from art educator and ceramicist Jaimie Charles, M.A. Ed., participants will learn the fundamental techniques of working with clay, including hand-building and wheel throwing. Students will explore their creativity and bring their artistic visions to life by crafting unique pottery pieces and sculptures. This engaging workshop offers a supportive and inspiring environment where young artists can develop their skills, ignite their passion for ceramics, and create beautiful works of art to cherish for years to come.

Clay, Chardonnay, & IPA

21+ | $65 per student

• Friday, July 14 | 7-8:30 p.m.

Unwind, sip, and let your creativity flow with friends at Clay, Chardonnay, and IPA. Enjoy an evening exploring the tactile world of clay over drinks and small bites. Under the guidance of art educator and ceramicist Jaimie Charles, M.A. Ed., participants will learn various clay techniques, from hand-building to wheel throwing, in a relaxed and social atmosphere. Please note this event is 21+.
